Role Description:

The position involves performing a full range of land surveying services, including both field and office work, independently or as part of a project team. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and signing survey deliverables such as maps, plats, legal descriptions, and related work products. The role includes managing surveying and mapping projects by developing scopes, establishing schedules, coordinating with internal staff and external stakeholders, and developing and monitoring project budgets. Occasional out-of-town and overnight travel may be required to support project needs, generally less than five percent (5%) of the time.

 

Qualifications: 

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of California, or the ability to obtain licensure within six (6) months

• Minimum of two (2) years of formal education with an emphasis in land surveying or a related discipline

• Demonstrated experience in boundary surveys and resolutions, preparation of Tentative and Final Maps, topographic mapping, aerial control surveys, and construction staking

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey mapping and plan preparation

• Self-motivated professional with a commitment to personal growth, professional development, and quality work

• Valid California driver’s license

• Ability to perform field survey work in varying terrain and weather conditions

• Physically capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and walking long distances over rough terrain while carrying surveying equipment
