JOHN A. SMITH

Principal
Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of undertakings with private entities, agencies, corporations, and individuals in sectors such as railroads, mining and reclamation, airport development. He has knowledge in all aspects of land development, planning, design, construction inspection, and construction management. Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the airport improvements and is well known in the aviation community.
ROBERT TARTAGLIA

Project Engineer
Mr. Tartaglia, the founder of the company, has more than 50 years of experience in the industry. His early experience in the private sector and working for CALTRANS has advanced the organization. Today, Mr. Tartaglia works part-time with the design team with preparation of plans, specifications, and contract administration. He has represented clients at city councils, boards of supervisors, and planning commissions for meetings and hearings.
JASON HARGREAVES

Senior Engineer
Mr. Hargreaves brings with him an education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Business. In his young career, he has been exposed to general civil engineering design, land improvement as well as a wide variety of airport planning and design assignments. Mr. Hargreaves enjoys the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the private sector, municipalities, and the airport clients. His areas of expertise include pavements design and evaluation.
MICHAEL ARMS

Project Engineer
Mr. Arms has been with Tartaglia Engineering since 2018, joining the firm after interning while earning his Civil Engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University. He is now a licensed Professional Engineer with experience that spans design, coordination, and time spent in the field. This well-rounded background allows him to bridge the gap between plans and construction, delivering practical and efficient engineering solutions across a variety of project types.

Party Chief
Since joining the Tartaglia team in 2019, Mr. Bratt has successfully completed several projects including construction staking, Lot Line Adjustments, boundary retracements and resolutions, control surveys, and topographic mapping. He is highly competent and has work-flows that are highly efficient, while at the same time ensuring the highest quality end product is produced. He utilizes Trimble GPS and conventional robotic survey equipment, as well as Trimble Business Center office software. Office calculations and drafting is accomplished utilizing AutoCAD Civil3d 2018, in which Mr. Bratt is well-versed.
LOGAN GREEN
Engineering Technician
Mr. Green joined Tartaglia Engineering in 2021 after graduating from Sonoma State University with a degree in Geography, giving him knowledge in both natural and anthropogenic systems. This paired with his background in GIS and capability with many Autodesk products allows him to collaborate with other TE team members effectively and produce various high-quality deliverables for a wide variety of projects.
KRISTA COX
Accounting Manager
Krista Cox has worked in the accounting field for nearly 30 years and is versed in a variety of accounting procedures and software platforms. Krista enjoys providing accurate and reliable accounting. She works closely with project managers and firm leadership to track project budgets, monitor profitability, prepare financial forecasts, and support strategic decision-making. Since joining the firm, Krista manages day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, job cost accounting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Her experience has ranged from small firms to large foundations, often in management positions. Having relocated to the Pismo Beach area, Krista was excited to join the team at Tartaglia Engineering in 2021.

Project Engineer
Mr. Gamiao joined Tartaglia Engineering after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2021 with a degree in Civil Engineering. During his time as a student, he worked for the US Navy on Guam and was Machine Lead for Cal Poly's Student Steel Bridge Competition Team in 2020. His exposure to project management, skills in computer aided design, and steadfast determination to learn, allows him to collaborate with and assist TE team members on a variety of different projects and disciples.

MENDOZA
Office Manager
Joining the team in 2022 Mrs. Mendoza manages the Grover Beach office: answering phone calls, responding to email inquiries, managing the company website, and covering internal finances. She serves as a central support role within the civil engineering firm, handling a wide range of administrative, operational, and coordination responsibilities essential to day-to-day success. Hilary works closely with engineers and leadership to keep projects organized, proposals moving, and internal processes running smoothly.
