JOHN A. SMITH

P.E.

Principal

Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of undertakings with private entities, agencies, corporations, and individuals in sectors such as railroads, mining and reclamation, airport development. He has knowledge in all aspects of land development, planning, design, construction inspection, and construction management.  Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the airport improvements and is well known in the aviation community.

ROBERT TARTAGLIA
P.E.

Project Engineer

Mr. Tartaglia, the founder of the company, has more than 50 years of experience in the industry. His early experience in the private sector and working for CALTRANS has advanced the organization. Today, Mr. Tartaglia works part-time with the design team with preparation of plans, specifications, and contract administration. He has represented clients at city councils, boards of supervisors, and planning commissions for meetings and hearings.

JASON HARGREAVES

P.E., LEED AP

Lead Design Engineer

Mr. Hargreaves is the teams youngest registered Civil Engineer, bringing with him an education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Business. In his young career, he has been exposed to general civil engineering design, land improvement as well as a wide variety of airport planning and design assignments. Mr. Hargreaves enjoys the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the private sector, municipalities, and the airport clients. His areas of expertise include pavements design and evaluation.

BRETT DOLAN

P.E.

Construction Inspector

Starting at a young age working for his father in high school, Mr. Dolan began his civil engineering career out in the field where he served as a construction material testing technician. Today, Brett is responsible for construction inspection, project management and Pavement Maintenance Management Programs. Mr. Dolan serves the aviation sector as well as private development undertakings where he ensures that our clients get what they are paying for, ensuring appropriate construction material, operations, and techniques.

MATTHEW CUNNINGHAM

P.L.S.

Surveyor

Mr. Cunningham brings with him over 25 years of experience in all aspects of surveying. He provides field survey services, and office management and coordination of design and drafting technical efforts. His responsibilities include topographic survey for design, mapping including legal descriptions, construction staking, and civil design, providing services to private land owners and developers, municipalities, and airports. He has the capability to serve as a key team member in all aspects of project development and product deliverables, from proposals to final acceptance.

CAROL DEE

Office Manager

Carol Dee has enjoyed her career at Tartaglia Engineering since 2015. Her knowledge of QuickBooks and managing a small business comes from her personal experience of owning a small business for 10 years. She enjoys client relations and keeping the office running smoothly. She also serves as a Notary Public..

MICHAEL ARMS

E.I.T.

Engineering Technician

Mr. Arms joined Tartaglia Engineering in 2020 after interning with the company for 2 years while studying at California Polytechnic State University. As a recent Civil Engineering graduate, his enthusiasm for the profession is contagious. Utilizing his AutoCAD Civil3D capabilities he has collaborated with TE team members to complete a number of various types of projects. Mr. Arms is actively pursuing his P.E. as well as partaking in TE's Management Trainee Program.

LOGAN GREEN

Engineering Technician

Mr. Green joined Tartaglia Engineering in 2021 after graduating from Sonoma State University with a degree in Geography, giving him knowledge in both natural and anthropogenic systems. This paired with his background in GIS and capability with many Autodesk products allows him to collaborate with other TE team members effectively and produce various high-quality deliverables for a wide variety of projects.

NOLI GAMIAO E.I.T.

Engineering Technician

Mr. Gamiao joined Tartaglia Engineering after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2021 with a degree in Civil Engineering. During his time as a student, he worked for the US Navy on Guam and was Machine Lead for Cal Poly's Student Steel Bridge Competition Team in 2020. His exposure to project management, skills in computer aided design, and steadfast determination to learn, allows him to collaborate with and assist TE team members on a variety of different projects and disciples. He shares in fellow Management Trainee, Mr. Arms' enthusiasm for the profession and is actively pursuing his P.E. as well.

SCOTT KOPE

P.E.

Project Engineer

Mr. Kope started working for TE in 1995, where he worked on civil site design with emphasis on grading and drainage plan design. Mr. Kope serves as lead designer for airport projects and general civil site design. Mr. Kope has an interest in hydrology and hydraulics, performing grading plans, storm water control plans, hydrology studies and reports, and utility design. With his background and knowledge on hydrology and today's storm water requirements, he has the ability to maximize a development footprint.

AIMEE CUNNINGHAM

Project Manager

Aimee Cunningham has over 20 years of experience in a variety of residential and private projects. She has experience in design and architectural planning and processing. Aimee enjoys bringing her architectural talents and expertise to the team.

JON BRATT

E.I.T.

Party Chief

Since joining the Tartaglia team in 2019, Mr. Bratt has successfully completed several projects including construction staking, Lot Line Adjustments, boundary retracements and resolutions, control surveys, and topographic mapping. He is highly competent and has work-flows that are highly efficient, while at the same time ensuring the highest quality end product is produced. He utilizes Trimble GPS and conventional robotic survey equipment, as well as Trimble Business Center office software. Office calculations and drafting is accomplished utilizing AutoCAD Civil3d 2018, in which Mr. Bratt is well-versed.

KRISTA COX

Accounting Specialist

Krista Cox has worked in the accounting field for nearly 30 years and is versed in a variety of accounting procedures and software platforms. Krista enjoys providing accurate and reliable accounting. Her experience has ranged from small firms to large foundations, often in management positions. Having relocated to the Pismo Beach area, Krista was excited to join the team at Tartaglia Engineering in 2021.

FORREST KEITHLEY
E.I.T.

Engineering Technician

Mr. Keithley joined Tartaglia Engineering in 2007. After receiving a B.S. in Physics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obsipo, he worked in the Aerospace Industry for 28 years. He brings experience in Optical and Mechanical Engineering as well as proposal writing. At Tartaglia, his focus has been on airport improvements, commercial developments, water well systems, solar farms and vineyards. Mr. Keithley is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
