Licensed Land Surveyor

Employment: Full-time

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

In general, the duties of the Licensed Land Surveyor include:

  • Perform all aspects of land surveying, including field and office work, working individually or as part of a team.

  • Prepare and/or review and sign maps, plats, legal descriptions, and all survey work products.

  • Occasionally work out of town and overnight (less than 10%).

  • Establish budgets for survey work.

  • Manage surveying and mapping projects including scheduling.

 

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, motivated for personal and professional growth and development.

  • Possess a Professional Land Surveyor’s License in the State of California, or have the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

  • Minimum of two – years of formal education with an emphasis in land surveying.

  • California driver’s license.

  • Physically able to perform field survey duties in varying terrain and weather conditions.

  • Must be able to lift 70lbs and walk long distances over rough terrain while carrying equipment.

  • Proficient with Autocad Civil 3D.

  • Experienced in ALTA surveys, boundary surveys and resolutions, preparation of Tentative Maps, Final Maps, topographic mapping, aerial control surveys, and construction staking.
